Bulls vs Heat Betting Trends

Monday night’s matchup at FTX Arena marks the third of four regular-season meetings between these clubs. The Heat captured the win in their two previous meetings of the season, including a decisive 118-92 victory when the Bulls visited South Florida back on December 11. Overall, the Heat have dominated in head-to-head action, going 12-3 SU in 15 clashes since December 2016, Miami has also covered in seven of 10 clashes with the Bulls, but have covered the spread in just two of the Bulls’ nine most recent visits.

While the Heat have steadily padded the win column, they have been somewhat of a betting disappointment of late. The club has covered just once in their past five overall contests despite limiting opponents to 107 or fewer points on three occasions over that stretch. The Bulls have seen five of the wins on their current 6-1 SU run come on home hardwood, and are enjoying a solid 9-4 ATS run. However, they have struggled at times to maintain consistency on the road, going 3-7 SU in their past 10 away from United Center, and covering just five of their past 15 road outings.

Chicago Bulls News & Notes

DeMar DeRozan’s resurgence has continued during the Bulls’ current hot streak. The former Toronto Raptors star has averaged 37.6 points per game while leading the Bulls in scoring in each of the past nine contests, capped by a 31-point, seven-rebound performance in a losing cause versus Memphis.

However, the Bulls have been susceptible to slow starts, scoring 24 or fewer points in the opening frame in three of their past four contests. And while Chicago has averaged 118.3 points per game over their past seven outings, the club has received limited contributions from the bench, which has contributed an average of just 16.8 points per game over the past five games.

DeMar DeRozan OVER 29.5 points

DeMar DeRozan has powered the Bulls attack during their current win streak, and is a solid bet to top 30 points for an 11th straight game

Miami Heat News & Notes

The Heat needed a huge 22-8 run to start the fourth quarter to finish off the Spurs in an entertaining clash on Saturday. Both team’s shooters were finding the mark, with Miami converting on 56.6% of field goal attempts, just ahead of the Spurts at 55.6%. That marks a major turnaround after the club shot at under 42% efficiency in two of their three previous contests.

Bam Adebayo turned in another stellar performance in Saturday’s win, draining a season-high 36 points. The 24-year-old big man has been a huge contributor over the past month, particularly under the bucket, averaging 13.7 rebounds while tallying double-doubles in eight of 10 outings so far this month. However, the club will be without some key contributors on Monday, most notably Kyle Lowry, who is out due to personal reasons.
