The 2018/19 NBA Conference Finals are here. Four teams remain in the hunt for supremacy in basketball’s most lucrative league on the planet and plenty of punters will be eyeing up their best bets ahead of the latest series of games.

We’ve got Canadian representation in the Eastern Conference, with the Toronto Raptors taking on the Milwaukee Bucks. The Raptors are looking to reach the NBA showpiece for the first time and their success this year is testament to all of the hard work since the team was formed in 1995.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors are chasing a fourth NBA title since 2015 and punters can back Steph Curry and co at an industry-best 13/20 with 888sport. The Portland Trail Blazers are looking to upset the party though and an early win for the underdogs will raise a few eyebrows across the NBA.

An exciting couple of weeks awaits – let’s hope for plenty of drama in both sets of games. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see the Eastern Conference Finals series go right down to the wire…

EAST: Milwaukee Bucks vs Toronto Raptors

Milwaukee Bucks Toronto RaptorsThe Bucks were imperious in the regular season, finishing the year with 60 wins and just 22 losses. Giannis Antetokounmpo is an absolute freak and he can lead Milwaukee to victory this season. On current form, you’d be hard pressed back against the Bucks in their pursuit of a first NBA title since 1971.

At the time of writing, Milwaukee are red hot favourites to advance to the NBA Finals. The best price you can get for the Bucks to win the Eastern Conference is 2/5 with William Hill and it may prove prudent to look elsewhere in the betting.

Game 1 is intriguing for a number of reasons but getting off to a good start is vital. 11/20 for the Bucks to take a lead into half-time is well worth considering for Sportingbet customers and we could see the Eastern Conference top seeds assert their dominance on Tuesday night.
Toronto will be wary of Milwaukee’s offensive prowess but the Raptors are no slouches and Kawhi Leonard could work his magic once again. On paper, the Bucks appear too strong and sticking with Milwaukee is the way to go in the race to reach the NBA Finals.

TIP: Milwaukee Bucks to win the series (2/5 with William Hill)

WEST: Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers

golden state warriors portland trail blazersThe Warriors are a determined bunch and it is hard to see Golden State slipping up here. It won’t be as straightforward as some are predicting but Steve Kerr’s men have the quality to reach another NBA Finals series and you’d be hard pressed to back against the defending champions. That 11/20 price for the Warriors to retain the crown is tempting.

Steph Curry’s return to form has come at a good time – there is still uncertainty surrounding Kevin Durant’s latest injury setback. The Golden State star has been ruled out for Game 1 but fans are hoping that he can return sooner rather than later. We could see the Warriors rush the two-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player back if they fall behind in the series…

Portland finished third in the Western Conference with a 53-29 record but that set of results put them just four games behind Golden State. The Trail Blazers cruised past the Oklahoma City Thunder in the opening round of the playoffs before coming from 3-2 down to defeat the Denver Nuggets. On that performance, Portland deserve plenty of respect.

With the Trail Blazers out at 9/2 with Betfred for a dramatic series success, NBA fans may wish to look elsewhere for their Western Conference best bets. Take the Warriors to win the West Conference series 4-2 at 15/4 with William Hill. Portland have enough class to take this one to Game 6.

TIP: Golden State to win the series 4-2 (15/4 with William Hill)
