Wednesday night’s matchup at Paycom Center marks the second and final meeting of the season between these two clubs. The Thunder tallied a narrow 110-109 victory as 7.5-point underdogs when they visited Scotiabank Arena back on December 8, and have now topped Toronto in seven of 10 head-to-head clashes since November 2016. OKC has also covered in each of those recent victories, including six outright victories as betting underdogs. However, they have come up short in two of the Raptors’ past three trips to Oklahoma City.

Recent meetings between these two teams have tended to be low scoring, and that is reflected in the total for Wednesday’s contest, which is pegged at just 208.5. The total has not topped 219 in four of their past five matchups, powering a 3-2-1 run for the UNDER over their past six dates. However, with the Raptors regularly running up the score during their current win streak, the OVER is favoured with 1.95 odds on Wednesday night.

Toronto Raptors News & Notes

The Raptors turned in another dominating performance in Monday’s win in Charlotte, taking control after surrendering the first basket of the game on their way to their fourth win in five road contests. Currently the hottest team in the Eastern Conference after winning eight of the past 10, Toronto now sits just 4.5 games back of the Miami Heat for the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Toronto’s strong play has yet to be rewarded at the sportsbooks, where they continue to lag as a 19.00 bet to win the Eastern Conference title on the NBA futures at Betsafe. A tough schedule that features 15 road games in their next 20 outings has a lot to do with those tempered expectations. However, the Raptors have produced away from the comfortable confines of Scotiabank Arena, going 13-11 SU and 14-9-1 ATS on the road, and have limited opponents to just 100.5 points per game in their two most recent road wins.

The Raptors also enjoy good health for the first time this season, with the Goran Dragic being the only player not with the club. Pascal Siakam and Gary Trent Jr. have powered the offence of late. “Spicy P” has averaged 27.3 points per game while leading the club in scoring in each of the past three contests, while Trent has racked up 30 points per game over his past four road contests.

Oklahoma City Thunder News & Notes

After giving their suffering fans a glimmer of hope with three straight wins to open the month of February, the Thunder reverted to their familiar losing ways this past weekend. The club closed out a three-game road trip with a 113-103 loss in Sacramento as 7.5-point underdogs on Friday before getting outclassed in Monday’s defeat at the hands of the Warriors.

Injuries have played a huge role in the Thunder’s continued struggles. Currently buried in 27th place in the NBA league standings, and sporting a dismal 8-17 SU record on home court, OKC has sorely missed Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who remains sidelined indefinitely with an ankle injury. Among the other key players on the shelf are big man Mike Muscala and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, who have been hobbled by ankle and foot injuries, respectively.

Luguentz Dort has filled the void in the meantime. The 22-year-old small forward has led the squad in scoring in five of the past six games, averaging 24.8 points per game over that stretch. And the Thunder will likely need another big performance out of Dirt if they are to build on their steady 32-18-3 ATS record.

Best Bets: Raptors -9.5 (-110)
