Welcome to our BetOnline review. BetOnline is a Panama City based online betting site established in 2004. It boasts of ‘cutting-edge internet technology’ and is fully regulated by the Panamanian Government. It has a full sportsbook as well as books on Poker, Casino games and Horse Racing. It also has a tips, trends and news section which can help you get all the information required to give you the edge when making your bets. It is a very popular site and one of the most trusted in the business, but what does it have to offer?
BetOnline provides Crypto Bonuses, a 100% bonus first deposit and a 35% reload bonus for every qualifying deposit made via Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin or DASH. A minimum of $20 CAD deposit is required for the bonus to qualify, while the maximum amount of bonus per deposit is $1,000 CAD. A 14x time rollover requirement is necessary for the 1st deposit bonus and you have to enter the CRYPTO100 promo code, and a 6x rollover requirement is needed for the reload bonus which uses the promo code CRYPTO35. Only USA and Canada players may qualify for the bonuses.
There is a 50% Welcome Bonus with a minimum deposit of $25 CAD, and the maximum bonus per deposit is $1,000 CAD, with Skrill and Neteller deposits excluded. There is a 10x rollover requirement, and the bonus uses the promo code BOL1000. BetOnline also holds a 25% Sports Reload Bonus with a minimum deposit of $50 CAD, and a 25% bonus on every qualifying deposit, with Skrill and Neteller excluded. You have to use the promo code LIFEBONUS, there is a mandatory 6x rollover requirement, and only US and Canadian players are eligible for the bonus.
As with all the major sites, there are plenty of deposit and withdrawal options at your disposal although the deposit methods outweigh the withdrawal methods. You can deposit using Bank Transfer, Visa and Mastercard, Western Union, Click2Pay and MoneyGram. Withdrawals don’t include credit cards, but do include Bank Transfer, Checks (delivered by courier), Bank Wire, Moneybookers and Instadebit. It’s a fairly comprehensive list and one which covers just about all your options. While deposits are free, there are unfortunately charges of $20 CAD per withdrawal. Withdrawals are usually paid within 36 hours. There is a $20 CAD minimum deposit and withdrawal. As you would expect, Canadian dollars (CAD) are accepted and welcomed.
In addition to the excellent top up bonuses, there are also plenty of promotions available in individual events. There are some especially nice promotions offering insurance and enhanced odds on Hockey and Soccer. There are also consistently good promos on Horse Racing, and at their Casino section. As with all promotions, you should check the site regularly to ensure you don’t miss any.
BetOnline has a nicely designed, easy to negotiate site. You can switch between the various books with a click and it is easy to access the cashier section. My only complaint would be that there is not a direct link to customer services directly from the Sportsbook or Casino. You also do not have the option to display odds in fractional terms, but other than these minor issues it is a great looking and simply designed site. Multiple bets and parlays are easy to construct and you can navigate between markets while retaining a list of your current selections on screen. None of this is revolutionary stuff, but it fulfils the minimum expectations of customers using a site of this ilk.
There is an excellent, comprehensive customer service department attached to BetOnline. Live chat is available for those who need an instant resolution to their problems, while you can also contact their experienced and knowledgeable staff via a toll-free telephone line, or by using email or Skype. Customer services are available 24/7, 365 days a year. They have a very large staff base meaning you won’t have to wait long for any issue to be resolved. BetOnline have been one of the top Canadian sites for many years and this is represented by the level of expertise demonstrated by their customer service team.
To be honest, I was slightly disappointed by the number of markets available for a site of BetOnline’s reputation. There aren’t a great deal of sports to bet on (less than 20), but the good news is that CFL, Hockey and Lacrosse do have a presence. Popular sports such as cycling, darts and swimming have been overlooked. However, the sports which are covered have a wide selection of bets available. You can get hundreds of lines on all the major sports with plenty of options on future events also. There aren’t any markets available on entertainment or politics, but who actually bets on them anyway? There is a comprehensive Race Horse line which allows you to bet on all races in North America and beyond.
The odds on offer at BetOnline are sharp and competitive. As with most sites, the odds available on favourites aren’t great, but if you like to bet on outsiders then you can pick up some very generous odds. When allied with some of the promotions on offer you can get some really good prices. Other than the outrights, you can bet on the spread, over and under and a whole host more. Ante-Post odds are excellent and getting in early can reap dividends.
In Play Options
This is an area where BetOnline is lacking somewhat. There is live betting available for some larger events, but it is by no means comprehensive. Furthermore, live streaming isn’t available meaning there is a large gap compared to the other major bookmakers. I suspect this will be something BetOnline expands on in the future, but at the moment it is in danger of falling behind its competitors when it comes to in-play betting.
With the increasing popularity of mobile betting, it is no surprise that BetOnline has this area sown up. They have a full mobile site which offers the same lines and markets as the desktop site. The site is compatible with Iphone, Android and any other web enabled device. An app would be nice for quick access, but at the moment the mobile site is fit for purpose and a useful addition to the main site.
Casino and Poker
The Casino site looks to be first class. All the main games are available and you can play with live dealers. Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, Video Poker and Slots are all available and there are some great bonuses and promotions available daily. The interface is very attractive and easy to negotiate and it caters for gamblers of any financial standing, not just high rollers.
Overall BetOnline is a very good site. It is reputable, secure and well maintained. There could possibly be more sports available to bet on and a revision of their in play option is required, but every other requirement is met.
