Sports Interaction Review
Sports Interaction Overview
Sports Interaction is a Canadian online betting site which was established in 1997. It was the first online sportsbook to be fully licensed and regulated in North America and is regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. It is very much focussed on Canadian customers as is reflected by their Montreal-based customer service department and the range of markets available. The site is owned and operated by Quebec firm S.I.A. Ltd.
Sportsinteraction.com offers a 100% introductory bonus to match an initial deposit of up to $200. As introductory bonuses go this is very appealing. However, the caveat is that there is a whopping 10-time rollover attached to it. This is very high compared to others on the market and means you will need to deposit a substantial amount before the winnings from the bonus are yours. Granted any money won from regular bets is yours, but a ten times rollover attached to a bonus defeats the purpose somewhat in my view. There are other online bookmakers out there who offer 100% bonus, but with as little as three or four times rollover so this isn’t a particularly good offer.
Deposit and Withdrawal Methods
Sports Interaction’s main attraction is that it is geared towards Canadian customers. As such, there is a variety of ways to make deposits to your account. Visa and Mastercard are accepted and deposits can also be made using Diners Club Card, Cashiers Check, Electronic Check, instant bank transfer and via Moneybookers. Deposits are exempt from any fees and there is a $20 minimum deposit. Withdrawals do not have the same wide range of options available with only bank wire, Netellers and Moneybookers. There may also be charges applied to withdrawals. Customers will receive one free withdrawal per month, but any subsequent withdrawals will be subject to fees beginning at CAD10. This is pretty hefty if you are fortunate enough to winning and withdrawing regularly and seems unfair that you should be charged for withdrawing your own money.
Interestingly, bonuses are only available to Canadian clients which is another example of the site’s dedication and commitment to Canadian customers. They also offer a refer a friend bonus system whereby you get a friend to sign up and you will receive a 20% bonus on the value of their first deposit. The site does seem to be a little light on special promotions such as enhanced odds and parlay enhancements and compared to other sites this is something it is lacking in.
Sports Interaction has a nice, easy to use interface. It has a nice feature which allows you to see the most popular bets at any given time as well as the level of bets on any individual event. For example, you can look at a particular match and see which team is attracting most interest. It also gives you a helpful countdown to events to ensure you don’t miss out on an event starting. Helpfully (and unusually for betting sites) it gives you up to date news on events so you can take the latest developments into consideration before placing your bet. There are also a full range of stats available to help you further. Overall it is an excellently designed site full of useful information without appearing cluttered or confusing.
One of the best things about this site is it’s excellent customer service. It is based in Montreal so you know you are speaking to someone with an appreciation of Canadian sports and exactly what Canadians are looking for. It is contactable 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and 52 weeks per year. You can contact them through live chat, email and telephone. There is also a very handy FAQ system which you can view to see the most common issues affecting customers.
Canadian customers must get frustrated at the lack of options available to them. This is not a problem which afflicts Sports Interaction. It has an incredibly wide range of markets including those which are of particular interest to Canadians. Lacrosse, Canadian Football, Hockey and Curling are all catered for as well as the major ‘European’ sports, Horse Racing and the usual raft of novelty and entertainment bets. It is great to see a site with such a focus on Canadian customers. Each market line has hundreds of bets available and you will never struggle to get a bet on the event you’re looking for. Top notch.
Surprisingly for a site that has such a strong reputation, Sports Interaction’s odds are also very competitive. Normally you will find the more established firms can afford to rely on the goodwill they have built up over the years at the expense of more competitive odds, but this doesn’t appear to be a complaint about Sports Interaction. Their odds are as competitive as anyone’s and offer real value to customers. It’s refreshing to see a company of this size still offering customers good prices.
There are a whole host of live in-play betting options available. You can bet 24/7 on just about any market you desire with up to the minute changes to odds. However, two areas it falls down on are live streaming and in-play cash out. It doesn’t offer live streaming of any sports events and this can be frustrating when betting on events which aren’t televised. In-play cash out is a relatively new phenomenon and something that more and more sites are picking up. Basically, it gives you the option to cash in your bet for a reduced return at any point during an event. So if you have bet on a Hockey match and feel your winnings are under threat you can cash out before the conclusion of the match. These are two very useful tools which could make an already excellent site even better.
Mobile Betting and App
Sports Interaction provides a mobile site that is compatible with iphone, ipad, Blackberry, android devices and tablets. Through the mobile site you can access all the features of the main sportsbook as well as the casino. Live betting is also available. Rather than downloading an app, you just go to the main site and click on the ‘mobile’ option. The introduction of an app may be the next step to give even quicker access to the sportsbook.
Casino, Poker and Games
You can also access a full range of Casino games, Poker and Slots through the main site. You can either download or play through Flash and there is an impressive array of games available. There aren’t any live dealers on the site which is something much of the competition provides.
Overall, Sports Interaction is an excellent site, particularly for Canadian customers. There is a definite focus on Canadian customers which can only be a good thing.Play Now
