Bellator 274 Best Bets: Can Gracie Return to Winning Ways?

Neiman Gracie will be looking to tally consecutive wins for the first time since his failed bid for the Bellator welterweight title when he battles Logan Storley on Saturday in the main event at Bellator 274 as a 1.55 favourite on the MMA odds at 10Bet. Gracie is coming off his first opening-round finish in over five years, with his victory over Mark Lemminger last September at Bellator 266. Listed as a 2.45 underdog on the Bellator 274 odds, Storley aims to build on a narrow split decision win over Dante Schiro in his last outing at Bellator 265. Saturday’s co-main event also features a clash of welterweights as Andrey Koreshkov battles Chance Rencountre as lofty 1.33 chalk.

CanadianBettingSites takes a look at all the odds and trends ahead of Bellator 274, which is set to take place at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, February 19. Neiman Gracie will be looking to maintain the form that earned him a shot at the Bellator welterweight crown when returns to action on Saturday night. The 33-year-old Brazilian needed just 87 seconds to finish Mark Lemminger by TKO in his last outing. However, after opening his professional MMA career with nine straight victories, Gracie has struggled at times while losing two of his past four fights.

Gracie’s recent slide began with his unanimous decision loss to Canadian Rory MacDonald in their battle for the Bellator welterweight belt at Bellator 222. Gracie followed up by topping Jon Fitch by submission in the second round of their clash at Bellator 246. That marked the ninth time in his career that Gracie claimed victory by submission. However, he followed up with yet another defeat at Bellator 255, where he came out on the wrong end of a unanimous decision in his tilt with Jason Jackson.

Winner by TKO on eight occasions while claiming victory in each of his 11 fights as a pro, things have gotten a lot tougher for Storley as of late. “Storm” has seen five of his past seven fights get settled by the judges with each of his past two contests ending with split decisions. That includes the lone defeat of his career, to Yaraslov Amosov at Bellator 252.

However, the recent experience going the distance could work to Storley’s advantage as prepares to take part in the first-ever non-title, non-tournament Bellator main event scheduled for 5 rounds. Prior to his recent struggles, Storley tallied decisive unanimous decision wins on three occasions over a five-fight stretch. However, he must avoid letting Gracie take the fight to the mat if he is to have any hope of earning the win on Saturday night.

Chance Rencountre to win

Rencountre returns to Bellator with plenty to prove, and offers high value in his Bellator 274 date with Andrey Koreshkov

Andrey Koreshkov will be looking to make up for lost momentum on the Bellator welterweight rankings when he returns to action for the first time since last summer. The 31-year-old Russian tallied a unanimous decision win over Sabah Homasi at Bellator 264 in his first Bellator contest since 2019. Despite that win, he has lost ground in the rankings, where he is now pegged as the No. 9 contender. Overall, “The Spartan” has tallied two straight wins, including a first-round victory in AMC Fight Nights action early last year. However, he has failed to tally wins in consecutive fights held in the Bellator cage since 2018.

Chance Rencountre returns to Bellator for the first time recording a first-round submission win over Justin Patterson over four years ago at Bellator 184. “Black Eagle” has kept busy in the meantime, fighting seven times. Rencountre went 2-2 in four UFC clashes over that stretch, highlighted by a first-round submission win over Kyle Stewart at UFC Fight Night 143. He also dominated in a pair of recent submission victories in FAC action, and is worthy of consideration as a high-value wager against an inconsistent Koreshkov.
