UFC Light Heavyweight Championship Spotlight: Glover Teixeira (c) vs. Jiří Procházka
What to look for from: Glover Teixeira
Coming off a resounding victory over Jan Błachowicz at UFC 267 via rear-naked choke, the champion had been riding a tidal wave of success since the beginning of 2019. Currently, on a six-fight winning streak which includes three “Performance of the Night” outings, this will be the first title defense for Teixeira. One of the most powerful fighters in all of the UFC, the 42-year-old currently boasts a record of 33-7 that includes 18 wins via knockout. What’s even more impressive about the champion’s current winning streak is that only one fight came down to a decision, a split decision victory over Nikita Krylov in September of 2019. He has won four of the fights via submission and the remaining contest by way of TKO.
What to look for from: Jiří Procházka
The No. 2 ranked fighter in the UFC Light Heavyweight Rankings, the 29-year old Procházka was a huge star in the Rizin Fighting Federation in Japan before moving to the UFC in 2020. As mentioned above, the Czech fighter won the inaugural Rizin Light Heavyweight Championship in the promotion and actually was still champion before moving to the UFC. With a 26-3-1 career record in Rizin, Procházka was a menacing force in the promotion. Since moving to the United States the Czech athlete has notched victories in both of his UFC bouts. With his last win coming in May of last year over Dominick Reyes, Procházka should be all set and ready to take on Teixeira.
Prediction: In what should be a fantastic matchup, this bout will either go to decision or one fighter will win via knockout. Though Teixiera certainly has made a name for himself as one of the toughest fighters in the world, Procházka is 13 years his junior and will have some more energy on his side to tip this contest his way.

UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship Spotlight: Valentina Shevchenko (c) vs. Taila Santos
What to look for from: Valentina Shevchenko
Recognized as the No. 1 fighter in the UFC women’s pound-for-pound rankings, Shevchenko is one of the brightest stars in the sport. With a fighting style known for precise counter-striking, Shevchenko also has been known to be a very adept grappler and has a black belt in Judo. With six title defenses to her credit as the UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion, Shevchenko is a force in her division. Since winning the title off of Joanna Jędrzejczyk at UFC 231 in 2018, the Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian fighter has been dominant in her defenses. With no fight coming down to a split decision (she has won via TKO/KO four times along with two unanimous decisions during this winning streak), Shevchenko has proven time and again that she is at the top of the mountain for a reason.
What to look for from: Taila Santos
In the opposite corner from the champion is challenger, Taila Santos. As noted above, Santos currently boasts a near unblemished mark of 19-1 in her professional fighting career. With her only loss coming back in February of 2019 via split decision against Mara Romero Borella. Since then, she has put together a four-fight winning streak and is coming off a masterful win over Joanne Wood via rear-naked choke at last November’s UFC Fight Night event. At only 28 years of age, this will be Santos’ biggest fight yet, but she has shown she can tangle with the best. She is a former Aspera FC Bantamweight Champion and is coming off her first-ever “Performance of the Night” victory.
Prediction: Another impressive matchup, this one should be another victory for Shevchenko given her amazing dominance as of late. The streak does not stop here.
